Para conservar el equilibrio, debemos mantener unido lo interior y lo exterior, lo visible y lo invisible, lo conocido y lo desconocido, lo temporal y lo eterno, lo antiguo y lo nuevo. Nadie puede afrontar esta misión por nosotros. Cada cual es umbral, único e irrepetible, de un mundo interior. Esta integridad es santidad. Ser santo es ser natural, acoger los mundos que encuentran equilibrio en ti. Detrás de la fachada de la imagen y la distracción, cada uno es un artista en este sentido primigenio e inexorable. Cada uno está condenado y tiene el privilegio de ser un artista interior que lleva consigo y da forma a un mundo único.

If we become addicted to the outside, our inner life will come to haunt us. We will dominate the thirst and no image, person or act can satisfy it. To be complete, we must be faithful to our complex vulnerability.
