leather and celtic charm

This celtic pewter pendant is my son's birth sign ( a tree sign seemingly think it means strength and constancy?) unfortunately the leather thong has worn away with wearing it constantly since his grandmother gave it to him , years ago, can't seem to find a suitable replacement
The other is an emergency keyring rather worn too but he keeps them side-by-side now in his bedroom.
Thought it would make a good subject for today's photo..
