Do You Believe In Some Kind Of Magical Symbol Or Object?

2009.11.29

The Pentacle Of The 5 Elements

Today, When I was doing my Mandala for Our Sunday Gallery, I’ve just noticed that in the center I’ve just done a Pentacle, one of the symbols That I love and it is very good for protection. I’ve always believed in the power of the rocks, of the symbology, etc. And I’ve even some of these things. I’ve not found yet one of these symbols to be my necklace, but It sure is important and magical.
The Hand with the eye is an amulet against the evil eye! It has nothing to deal with the star, but I added 2 of these amulets in one!

What about you, do you believe in some kind of magical symbol or object? If yes, what? And Can you tell me what it is?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

About The Pentacle Of The 5 Elements :
The pentagram is a symbol represented by a five-pointed star that holds the secret of the 5 elements: the 5 senses that are 5 dimensions in the universe. The pentacle is a pentagram drawn inside a circle, which enriches it with the message that, in dor world as perceived and known IN THIS AWARENESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS, everything is cyclical. In this way, the staff conveys the idea of duality in the conceptual world of Planet Earth, which senses and evokes, once expanded to the image of the Pentacle, uniting all aspects of the divine with the profane, the mind the body, the spiritual and the earthly.
The five points of the Pentacle or Pentagram have specific meanings and refer to the Five Elements:

The left upper corner represents the Earth, nutrition, growth, giving us Mother Earth.

The right upper corner represents the air, thinking, intelligence, mind, the intellect.

The lower left point represents fire, passion, emotion, which defeats the intelligence and reasoning.

The lower right point represents Water, symbolizes the cycle of life, is the element that overcomes the fire and combines emotion with reason.

The central upper end represents the spirit in interaction with the Four Elements and the supremacy of spirit over body. Shows the power of the spirit above all in the universe.

Detailed :
Air: Used to protect what we want to communicate or to communicate. It is ruled by the elemental beings that inhabit the trees, flowers, wind, and mountains (eg fairies, Gnomes, Sylphs, Zephyrs, etc.)..
Fire: It is used for strength and passion. It is ruled by the salamanders, dragons and flames. This element is symbolized by volcanoes, lightning, sun and fire. The ritual work is done at noon (the point at which the sun is highest) to work release, change, perception learning, love, passion, sexuality, purification.
Water: it is used for fertility and the psyche. It is ruled by the elemental creatures that inhabit all the waters, like nymphs, water-nymphs, mermaids, fairies, etc..
Earth: It is the mother goddess, is used to generate life opportunities. It is ruled by the gnomes, elves, dwarves and all the elemental beings who inhabit the interior of the earth.

The Pentagon Has also the meaning of Protection against Demons, Devil and Evil Creatures .

noptek The drawing is beautiful.
I don't believe in the power of symbols but I believe in the power of self-influence when one thinks a symbol is powerful

soubhagya Nope, I dont keep any symbol with me, or any kind of sign. Dont get me wrong, I am not saying I am not religious.., it is just that in my opinion, keeping too much of a faith in a symbol, decreases the faith one has in oneself..!
But yeah it is interesting to read about other people.
:)

MrsBox Ricky, this is a SUPER POST!!
I love your drawing, the text and the info you share here.
And thanks a lot for your help and support for Our Sunday Gallery.

About magic symbols...
I'm not sure. I belive that we have the ability to impregnate our energy in any sort of objects... So everything can be an amulet if you put the right energy on it.
;)
